Frequently asked questions and answers about solar

Yes you can heat your hot water using a hot water diverter using excess energy available from your PV Solar panels. Generally homeowners can expect to generate up t0 80% of their annual hot water energy needs leading to reduced bills.

We will visit your home and go through the details with you as well as checking which options are best for you. If you decide to go ahead we will arrange timing/dates that will suit you for the installation. The length of time depends on the system involved but it tends to be quicker then you might think

Grants of up to €2100 are available (amount depends on the size of the system). We will discuss with you which grants may be available for your particular situation. 

As the grants are government backed it is hard to say how long the scheme will be in place for. Right now they should be available to a large number of homeowners. Check SEAI website or speak to use for more details.

A new scheme is in place allowing homeowners to be paid for energy they feed back into the grid. This is managed through your energy provider. Contact your utility provider to confirm rates and availability.

If you would like to start your SEAI grant application for your home PV Solar system you can do so here SEAI online application. Once you open an application with the SEAI you should receive a response within a few days with your eligibility status. Once approved we can arrange to install your charger. We provide certification of the installation on the SEAI form. You can then return this to the SEAI and they will send the grant to your own nominated bank account.
